Story Behind the Song

My producer, Drew and I were working on my album together before I left for a whole summer of leading worship at a girls camp! Talk abut intense! Their ages range from 2nd-12th grade, plus counselors who usually tend to be college age. We wanted to speak as much truth into their lives for the little amount of time we would have with them.

Being a girl, I know one of the things I struggle with the most is being confident in the way God made me, as well as not letting other peoples comments effect me. I would consider myself a strong, confident, independent young woman, who is grounded in Christ and find my identity in Christ. However, I still seem to struggle with this same issue from time to time- and it usually takes all of my attention and focus to regain the right mind set. I believe this is one of the strongest areas of attack girls today, and you can't fight the enemy unless you know you're weapons! JESUS

Hearing many of the girls sing this around camp was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. I hope they get it! I can't imagine how God must feel when we finally understand how He feels about us! Wheewww, it's overwhelming to me.
