Story Behind the Song

After getting engaged and floating on every cloud in the sky, I realized that so many times, these words would come out of my mouth with every hug, "I just want you to love me". Driving home one day, the tune just came, I was writing a lot of love stories at this time, planning a wedding makes you do that. :o) So I surprised Kerry with the original version of this song on Valentine's day. Paying for a wedding you have to be creative in your gifts!

Married and a year later, I still loved this song, and wanted it on the record, yet the heart of it wasn't fitting the purpose of the album, at least that's what I thought. One night when I was playing it and practicing, God told me to write this down, He started to give me different words for the verses. Words that He felt about us, about me. I realized that the same way I feel towards my husband, is the way that God feels towards me. So in love, so for me, so jealous of my every thought and affections. I can definitely relate to that! Whenever my heart for love is saying or thinking, "I just want you too…" I remember God's heart towards me, and try to give that energy and love back to Jesus.

I LOVE love stories and love songs. I realized so does God, and He sings them to us and over us in every Word He gives us, and everything He has made and blesses us with. So many times God dances with me, makes me laugh, does things just for me, tells me to hold on because he has one more thing to say….I LOVE YOU. When you are in love with someone that much, so much that you would do ANYTHING for them, to help them, to make them happy, to rescue them-isn't the one thing that you truly desire is for them to Love you back?
